Web Accessibility
We understand the need for accessible web design and understand and practice a range of usability heuristics to ensure that web sites built by us are easy to use for even the novice web users.
By giving a comfortable feel and environment for web surfers, commerce and other applications are sure to succeed as they strive to make sales.
Whether you need a simple test for compliance with the Website Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines published by the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C), or a more detailed report with recommendations and technical solutions, our team of users and experts are here to help. Our "no nonsense" approach will provide you with clear information and practical suggestions to make your site accessible to all and compliant with relevant legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
The W3C/WAI Version 2 guidelines on website accessibility were published on the 11th December 2008 after a lengthy consultation period. The W3C have said that this standard is now stable and will not be changed.
Many organisations however, including the UK Government, will still be using Version 1 for some months. During this transition period we are happy to use either version as the basis for our reports. Just let us know what you require when you place an order or ask for a quote.
